Our AT&T National picks and who's hot and who's not

This week's field includes:

  • The field includes 8 of the top 25 in the latest Official World Golf Rankings, with four from the Top 10, Tiger Woods, Paul Casey, Jim Furyk and Vijay Singh The other four top-25 players in the field are Sean O'Hair, Anothony Kim, Lucas Glover and Mike Weir.
  • The field includes 11 of the Top 25 on this year's PGA Tour money list. Those players include Tiger Woods, Sean O'Hair, Lucas Glover, Nick Watney, Paul Casey, Jim Furyk, Kevin Na, Mike Weir, Brian Davis, Charley Hoffman and Hunter Mahan
  • The field includes both past champions: Anthony Kim (2008) and K.J. Choi (2007).

A perfect way for fantasy golfers to check on the past performance of all the players in the Travelers Championship are these performance charts, one with the players listed alphabetically and the other with the players listed by average finish.

One last way to check who is the best is through a special formula worked out in Golfstats that gives us the best average performances at the AT&T National in the last two years.

A a good cheat sheet is this list of odds from the top bookmakers in England.

Another cheat sheet is this list of odds from the top bookmaker in Las Vegas.

Time to look at our who's hot and who isn't:

Don't feel so bad, Sal. After watching Kenny Perry putt at the Open the week before, I didn't give him any consideration last week at the Travelers either.

Thankfully I don't publish a column listing KP as a "WORST BET". That's gotta be a pretty big pill to swallow!

:)Grip it and rip it this week:)
