What to look forward to in 2009

Hard to believe that another year has come and gone, boy time really flies when you get older.
Many wonder how good 2009 is going to be after the shaky ending to 2008 with the economy being the way it was and the John Daly saga. Still I feel that 2009 can be a very good year on a numerous of fronts, so let's take a look into my crystal ball and I will tell you what to look forward too.

Michelle Wie and Kenny Perry will have great years in 2009.
I feel that Michelle Wie will have a great year. She worked hard in getting her LPGA Tour card and showed some signs of the good play she displayed in 2006. Now if there ever was a person that the LPGA Tour could use to play well, it's Wie. She could be as much of a franchise player like Tiger Woods was in 1997. If Wie gets off to a great start and wins early, this could be a God-send for the LPGA Tour in gaining sponsors and a TV contract in 2010.

On the PGA Tour, look for Kenny Perry to make a charge and contend in a major. It may seem hard to believe but a player like Perry who is a supreme driver and should compete in every major he plays in has only finished in the top-ten three times in the 41 majors that he has played in. In '09 Perry has the momentum and the confidence from his good play last year to make a serious run at things.
