Hard to believe that another year has come and gone, boy time really flies when you get older.
Many wonder how good 2010 is going to be after the shaky ending to 2009 with the economy being the way it was and the Tiger Woods saga. If you asked anyone on November 15th there thoughts on 2010 you would have gotten a bullish answer. But with Woods on indefinite leave, there will be a lot of advertisers and sponsors that may also take indefinite leaves. So let's take a look into my crystal ball and I will tell you what to look forward too.

Many feel that 2010 will be a banner year for Michelle Wie and she will be for Michael Whan and the LPGA Tour what Tiger Woods was for Tim Finchem, a franchise player. She ended 2009 on a high with a victory and you can see how much confidence this now has. Wie has the game, yes her putting could be better, still confidence is what has been lacking in her game and she seems to be regaining it. A lot was learned at the Solheim Cup, plus she has more of a grasp on her life away from Mom and Dad. I not only feel that she will be the player of the year in 2010, but also win a major which will drastically help put the LPGA on the chart to gaining a better fan base
On the PGA Tour look for Adam Scott and Lee Westwood to break out on the PGA Tour. Scott had a dreadful year, earning only $783,138 with $550,000 of that coming in his first two starts. In his last 15 starts he only made five cuts with his best finish being a T35th at Turning Stone. Scott was helped by Greg Norman in getting to the President Cup, that started to turn things around. Scott also has worked more on his game in the last couple of months than on a surf board, on top of that golf is now more important than his social life in which last year saw Scott frolicking on the beach in Maui with actress Kate Hudson.
Now 2010 could be the year of Lee Westwood. We have know that he could be great, if he buckled down and worked hard. From tee to green he is the best player in golf, if he could improve his putting, which has been his Achilles heal, he could be the best player in golf. Look for something in the middle as he not only wins one but twice on the PGA Tour and plays well in all four majors with a possible win in one of them.
