Playing the best on Tour right now with a 5th in Buick, 2nd at the Hope and T-8th at Mercedes. Has had some good times on this course. With some good putting he could be your winner.

Showed some great improvement in San Diego. Despite being under the weather he seems to be getting it together. Wants to make a splash and with Tiger gone he can do it this week.

He is 40 now and in his prime. Had a good season last year that was marred because of no wins. He will be looking to change that and could do it with some good putting this week.

Best of the rest:

Rory Sabbatini

Never has been very consistent on this course, but he is showing a lot of consistency this year with a T-3rd at the Buick, a 2nd at the Sony an a 17th at the Mercedes. If it is calm he will do well.

Mike Weir

A season that promised so much started out good in his first two starts. He could carry that forward this week.

Always finds a way to get into the mix at FBR. Yes it's been a poor start to his year that started out with a out with a lot of expectations because of his hard work at the end of last year. This week could give us an indication as to how his year will go.

Putter is doing well again this year, and that could be the key for any possibilit of a repeat.

Long shot's that could come through:

The impressive part of his runner-up finish in the Buick was his putting. That could set him up for another strong start this week.

A golden oldie who could be a goodie this week. Showed some solid play in his last two events, including some good putting.

Player to avoid:

John Rollins

He has a good record in this event, but stay away because his game is not very good right now. Avoid him at all costs.
