Who to Watch at the Masters:

Of course, everyone's favorite:

Tiger Woods
2007 '06 '05 '04 '03 '02 '01 '00 '99 '98 '97 '96
T2 T3 Win T22 T15 Win Win 5 T18 T8 Win Cut

He is so popular that the bookies can't make him any lower of a bet. I would say that the chances of victory is 3 in 4. He is that good and really hungry to win the grand slam this year.

Best Bets, other than Tiger:

Retief Goosen
2007 '06 '05 '04 '03 '02 '01 '00 '99 '98 '97 '96
T2 T3 T3 T13 T13 2 Cut T40 - Cut - -

He is completely flying under the radar as nobody is even thinking of him. Look at his record: three, top-three finishes in a row, plus he is coming into his own with his game. A victory by the Goose shouldn't surprise anyone.

Geoff Ogilvy
2007 '06 '05 '04 '03 '02 '01 '00 '99 '98 '97 '96
T24 T16 - - - - - - - - - -

You know that it's only a matter of time before an Australian wins this event, and it very well could be Ogilvy. He's playing great, has a lot of confidence, patience and poise to win.

Phil Mickelson
2007 '06 '05 '04 '03 '02 '01 '00 '99 '98 '97 '96
T24 Win 10 Win 3 3 3 T7 T6 T12 Cut 3

Lots of question marks. Can Mickelson get his putter going? You never know which Phil will tee off on Thursday, but you have to like him for his past accomplishments at Augusta National.

Best of the rest:

Padraig Harrington
2007 '06 '05 '04 '03 '02 '01 '00 '99 '98 '97 '96

Has been working hard to have all parts of his game peaking at just the right time. He used this same method before his victory in the British Open.

Vijay Singh
2007 '06 '05 '04 '03 '02 '01 '00 '99 '98 '97 '96

Has been cruising under the radar as well. Could this be his week to shine? We have been waiting for it all year, it just seems like everything is coming together for him this week.

Justin Rose

Big favorite this week. He's the best European player right now. He played very well in the Masters last year.

K.J. Choi

K.J. could be the best Asian to play in the majors and would love to be the first Asian to win a major. Has a good chance here/. If he gets the putter rolling he can do it.

Adam Scott

We know that he has the talent to win a major, but we haven't seen the true Adam Scott show up for a major.

Luke Donald

Hasn't had a stellar year, but he can play this course. Look for a strong performance from him.

Long shots that could come through:

Fred Couples
2007 '06 '05 '04 '03 '02 '01 '00 '99 '98 '97 '96
T30 T3 T39 T6 T28 T36 26 T11 T27 T2 T7 T15

Everyone has been asking him about his cut streak, but Freddie is healthy again and playing great golf. He may surprise a lot of folks this week.

Vaughn Taylor

He is a local guy that reminds you a lot of Larry Mize, and you see what happened to him 20 years ago.
