This week's field includes:

  • The field includes five of the top 25 in the latest Official World Golf Rankings, with only one from the Top 10: Adam Scott. The other four top-25 players in the field are Rory Sabbatini, Trevor Immelman, Sergio Garcia and Luke Donald.
  • The field includes eight of the Top 25 on this year's PGA Tour money list. Those players include Justin Leonard, Trevor Immelman, Sean O'Hair, Daniel Chopra, Ryuji Imada, Luke Donald, Rory Sabbatini and Johnson Wagner.
  • The field includes five past champions: Scott Verplank (2007), Brett Wetterich (2006), Ted Purdy (2005), Sergio Garcia (2004), Shigeki Maruyaman (2002) and Jesper Parnevik (2000).

His game could be ready to strike on a course like this. Also, remember his two wins have come on new courses that players don't know much about.

Usually you don't like a major winner in his next stop, but he could be the exception to the rule because he is a cool customer who won't let the hype get to him and he had a good finish last time he played here.
