  • The field includes 93 of the top 100 in the latest Official World Golf Rankings, with Tiger Woods, Luke Donald, Richard Sterne, Arron Oberholsher, John Rollins, Hideto Tanihara and Shingo Katayama (he withdrew Wednesday morning).
  • The field includes 48 of the top 50 of this years PGA Tour money list. The ones not in the field is Tiger Woods and Luke Donald, both injured.
  • The field includes 10 past champions: Phil Mickelson (2005), Vijay Singh (2004 & 1998), Rich Beem (2002), David Toms (2001), Davis Love III (1997), Mark Brooks (1996), Steve Elkington (1995), Paul Azinger (1993), John Daly (1991) and Bob Tway (1986).
