- The field includes 11 of the Top 25 on this year's PGA Tour money list. Those players include Phil Mickelson, K.J. Choi, Geoff Ogilvy, Justin Leonard, Steve Stricker, Andres Romero, Steve Marino, Jeff Quinney, Peter Lonard, Stuart Appleby and Bart Bryant.
- The field includes five past champions: Adam Scott (2007), Stuart Appleby (2006 & 1999), Fred Couples (2003), Robert Allenby (2000) and Jim McGovern (1993).
